A Severly ill Veteran & his family
Donation protected
It truly saddens me to have to ask for help, but at this point we have been left with no other options. My Fiance steven gave four years of his life to our country. While serving in the Marines he deployed to many countries Including Iraq. He gave everything for his country and his country has been no help in picking up the pieces only letting him down. The VA just treats him like another number. He has been fighting for his benefits and disabilty for quite a few years now and nothing has changed. Ive watched his health deteriorate over the last couple months. With his heath issues being what they are he is no longer able to work or attend school which has been both of our incomes the past two years.
He has recently been diagnosed with heart disease, Doctors recently found two lumps on his throat causing him severe pain, major damage to his kidneys and liver, Three ulcers in his stomach and thats to say the least! Doctors have recently told us they are worried Steven may not get to see his 40’s if these health issues don’t get taken care of as soon as possible! Steven also got dental work consisting of 8 fillings done in the marines and each one of them has fell out! Im sure you know tooth pain can be one of the worse pains in the world! He can barely chew food or stay awake from the severe pain it is causing him! We are slowly working on getting his dental work fixed but again that costs so much! Even going to the va for dental they charge 3-400$ just to look at one tooth and thats at the VA! Both our families have done what they can but with having very costly doctor bills having to go to outside of the va and with having small support on both sides of our families it has led us to this point.
Everyday i have to watch him wake up in pain and it breaks my heart. Some days its so bad he can’t even get out of bed, at 33 years old that is not normal! Especially with two small children its very depressing and heart wrenching for him not to be able to interact and be present in his childrens lives on a daily basis. He also suffers from PTSD and Traumatic Brain Injury from being in Iraq. Its just one thing after another! In the last 6-8 weeks we have seen more bad days than good which worries me so much! Since we have gotten little help from the government, the only other hope i feel is to turn to my facebook friends and family.
Steven and i have two young children who depend on him and this is taking away from them in so many ways; mainly their happiness to see their daddy this way! I have been trying to find a part time job but child care is very costly and some days i feel bad to leave the baby home with him because of how bad some days are for Steven, So its made me very hesitant to work untill we are able to get him on the road to recovery! We are on the verge of losing everthing we have built the last 2 years and it just hurts my heart to have to share my buisness so public but again i feel i have no where else to turn! This will not only help us get steven the right treatment, medication and care he needs but it will help our little family more than you’ll ever know! No donation is too ever too small, and even if you are unable to donate at this time, if you could just share that would help just as much! Thank you so very much everyone for taking the time out to read this, my family and i appriciate you! ❤️✨
